Feed the Dog Band at Bare Bones Brewery

Feed the Dog Band at Bare Bones

I got a friend's invitation to see the Feed the Dog band at Bare Bones Brewery last Saturday. I have never heard of the band but I figured why not check out some original music. These guys write their own music and do a good job. We got there and the weather pretty much sucked. They had the band out under a tent. Overall a relatively small crowd was there. They had some things for sale in the back of the tent, and a few kids were running around. The band really has its own sound. The lead singer plays the violin. In my opinion, this adds a cool sound to any music. It was like Yani and Mumford & Sons got together. I really enjoyed them! But it probably is not everyone's cup of tea, which is not bad. I put together a video and pictures for you to check out. Take a look at the video and see if you like it. Get out to one of their shows soon. See some of the photos and the video below. Waterfest Oshkosh - Alex McMurray and Dirty Honey

Waterfest Oshkosh Dirty Honey
Waterfest Oshkosh with Alex McMurray and Dirty Honey

Just like that, it's the last night of Oshkosh Waterfest. They finished the season with Dirty Honey, Alex McMurray Band, and the Mac Saturn Band. I brought my daughter to check out the show. We got in late and missed the Mac Saturn Band. I was surprised the crowd seemed small. But the Packers preseason game was on at the same time, so maybe that was a bit of a draw. When we arrived, the Alex McMurray band was already playing some funky music. They are a fantastic band and brought some serious energy to the stage. Then Dirty Honey came out and hit the stage. This band was a lot of fun and fired up the crowd. You can get a taste of both these bands by watching the video and looking at the photos. The music was great and we had a great time. Make sure to check out the Oshkosh Waterfest schedule and get to a show soon! Check out the video and a few photos below you can see all the photos on the main photo gallery site! Looking for things to do this weekend!? Go to WiParty to see what is happening.

Waterfest Oshkosh - Trombone Shorty and Gov't Mule Band

Waterfest Oshkosh with Trombone Shorty & Gov't Mule

Trombone Shorty & Government Mule came to put on the show for the August 18th Oshkosh Waterfest. I headed over and hoped for the best with the weather. There was rain in Menasha as I left. But the closer I got to Oshkosh, the nicer the weather got. I walked into the amphitheater and Trombone Shorty was already up on stage and tearing it up. It was really nice to have something different for music. This band came up from New Orleans and brought some sassy jazz with him for everyone to enjoy. Make sure to check out the band's info on the Trombone Shorty Website or listen to the music here. Next up on stage was Gov't Mule. Labeled as a Southern Rock Jam band. With hits like Thorazine Shuffle, Soulshine, and Broke Down on the Brazos listen now. The crowd was a fun-loving, easy-going group of people. When Gov't Mule came on stage the crowd went crazy. I will be honest I have not heard of this band before. But I was glad I came out and saw them. There were a few songs I recognized that I didn't know they sang. It was a fun night with some good weather. Always love some live music and summertime. Make sure to check out the Oshkosh Waterfest schedule and get to a show soon! 2022 Bago Barge & Beach Bash

What a blast! The 2022 Bago Barge & Beach Bash was a success! So many people to thank for their help with this year's event. My crew did an outstanding job setting up and preparing the barge for launch and helped to tear it down and get us back before the storms came in.  The Hefter's for supporting this event and working to get our amazing sponsors. This year's sponsors were Mercury Racing, 5G Benefits, Muthig Industries, Wrightway Builders, Holiday Automotive, 95.1 Radio. We should all be appreciative of the companies that make it possible to have these parties on the water and provide us with some great options for live entertainment. Andrea from Mercury Racing came to watch the show and support the event. It is a pleasure to have our sponsors come out and see the impact that they give to our boating community.

This year we had the super talented Sam Guyton come back with his father Marcell and the Rythm Kings band. Watching and listening to them was so much fun. They got the crowd pumped up from start to finish. This father and son pair are a joy to be around. It's super cool how they share the love. Marcell had on a white t-shirt with I Love You Dad written on the front of the shirt. He told us later that it was a shirt Sam made for him over 20 years ago. I thought that was really cool! It was an all-around great day. I ran into so many people that were just having a blast and told me how happy they were to have an event like this. It's always nice to receive feedback like that.

We got very lucky with the weather! It was a beautiful day during the entire show. On the way back we were a little ways from the Yacht Club when it started to rain. By the time we got the barge and pontoon up on the trailer. It was a downpour with crazy winds. The crew got soaked but didn't miss a beat. Everything got loaded and we pulled out and got home all in one piece. Overall it was an amazing day, filled with awesome people and fantastic music. Thanks to everyone that came out! Our sponsors, support team and I hope you had a fun and memorable day out on the water!

AC/DC tribute band Bonfire at Willie Beamons

THUNDERSTUCK by Bonfire tribute band! This was a hell of a show. I have been trying to get out to see them at Willie Beamon's for a while now. I finally made it happen and got some good videos and photos for any of you that missed it. We got there a little late and were surprised to see the band had not hit the stage yet. We hung out for a while and someone told us they were running late because one of the band members broke his leg the night before. As I was shooting sure enough one of the guitar players had an air cast on his leg and was sitting bown with an egg crate under his feet. What a trooper! These guys are a lot of fun to see! I have some sample photos below and around 170 photo's on the Wiparty Photo Gallery for you to check out and download or purchase. I also have put together a video with some small video clips as well as the photo slideshow included.  If you are looking for things to do every week check out WiParty.com
