Wouters’ Sports Bar & Grill has deep roots in the Green Bay area, with a family tavern tradition that began in 1965 when Gary and Judy Wouters purchased the 616 Club in Green Bay, WI. Over the years, their bar became a favorite gathering place for fast‑pitch softball fans, friends, and family of the champion 616 Club softball team, where Gary “Joe” Wouters proudly served as both player and manager from 1958 to 1973. The 616 Club was just the beginning of a long line of local taverns owned and operated by the Wouters family, including The Abbey Bar in 1974, Pulper’s Pub in 1974, The Office Lounge in 1977, and Pal‑Mor Lounge in 1988. Staying true to their passion for softball, sports, and the bar and grill business, they expanded again in 1974 with Wouters’ Front Tavern and Softball Park (Bill Sundell Memorial Park), creating a true community hub for games, food, and drinks. As the years went on, the Wouters children grew up in the business, helping with everything from maintaining the ball diamond to bartending and serving customers. In 2001, Mike and Jim Wouters carried on the family legacy by taking over the reins, starting with Wouters’ Front in 2001, Wouters’ Front II in 2003, and eventually opening Wouters’ Sports Bar & Grill in 2009. Today, Wouters’ Sports Bar & Grill offers a welcoming, down‑home family atmosphere where guests can relax, mingle with friends, and feel like part of the Wouters family. Enjoy a hearty meal, an ice‑cold beverage, and a friendly small‑town sports bar experience just minutes from Green Bay. Come visit Wouters’ Sports Bar & Grill and be part of a local tradition that has been serving the community for generations.
