From the Post Crescent:
OSHKOSH — One man was arrested Sunday after a boating accident on Lake Winnebago near the Pioneer Marina.
Sheriff's Department officials responded to a boat accident, in which a boat crashed into a wave and broke in half, around 5:30 p.m.
Sgt. Jeff Gruss, of the Winnebago County Sheriff's Department, said the driver was a Menasha man who was arrested for operating a boat while intoxicated. One other person was in the boat.
Both the driver and the passenger sustained minor injuries. Neither was hospitalized, Gruss said.
We left Streich about 4:30 and went across Winnebago to The Harbor Bar for supper. The lake was ROUGH. The wind never let up and the ride back to Oshkosh was just as rough, if not worse.
